Dramatic visit to GCQ7N1with jshizzle and welchesweed as a LifeFlight Bell 406 descended on the park. This was the last cache of a caching contest this evening. jshizzle and company beat us to the punch and tracked down the cache just before the helicopter came in. Turns out a child was injured falling off a ledge onto a cement monument between the baseball fields and the Stake Center. Caching ceased whilst the 406 pulled a max performance lift off and zoomed out of sight. I find myself (a helicopter pilot) in a moral quandry where lifeflight is concerned. The aircraft are amazing, the piloting demanding, but the circumstances bringing them here usually horrific. Oh, BTW, that bird tried to take me out too. The fear that went through me was Poe-esque to say the least.

Ok, this comment is over a year late, but hey - it's here. I live about a half mile from this park. I've been wanting to get into geocaching since I learned about it ages ago and we have yet to find a cache... (we don't even own a gps yet). I just thought I would tell you this is totally cool and here this was going on so close to home! I even remember when the child was rescued. Thanks for helping to promote this amazing idea and where do I get an inexpensive yet very reliable gps to get started?
